The new, detailed and totally revised history of one of Regia Aeronautica leading units.The 51°Stormo was present on every front where Italian airmen fought during WW2: Battle of Britain, Malta, North Africa, Russia, Sardinia and homeland. Dozens of its best men arelisted in its "roll of honor". After the armistice it then took part in the war alongside the Alliedand was one of the founding units of the reborn Aeronautica Militare Italiana. It was awardedthe highest Italian decoration: the "Medaglia d'Oro al Valore Militare".
